I’ve been in education for over 20 years. During that time I’ve worked with 3 and 4 year olds, taught 8th grade U.S. History, and 4th grade. I’ve also been an assistant principal at the elementary and secondary level along with being a principal for 12 years at the elementary level. I’ve worked in large urban districts, fast growth suburban districts, and a small 2,000 student district. Most of that time was spent working in low SES and Title I settings. Currently, I’m the Director of Curriculum and Instruction in West Oso ISD in Corpus Christi, TX.
I have a passion for learning and helping educators, both teachers and leaders, become the very best they can be for our students. I utilize my experience in leading challenging schools through the turnaround and growth cycles. I believe that leading learning matters, and I believe the way in which we lead our colleagues in the pursuit of learning matters even more!
